Superstars helping Japan

JYJ Has already donated 600 million won to the victims of the Japan earthquake.
But they don't plan to stop helping yet.
They want to make all their fans more aware of the situation in Japan via the upcoming world wide tour.
And continual support through collaboration with Japan-based World Vision in a campaign called, "Take Heart, Japan" where fans are able to donate.

Kim Hyun Joong  (BOF, Playful kiss) has recently donated 100 million won to the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan.
Kim Hyun Joong said, “My heart hurts so much to hear about this.  I hope that everyone can stay strong.”  He also said, “Many people are joining hands in this crisis.  Everyone, please come together with one heart.

Also Lee Byung Hun donated 7 hundred billion won through Red Cross
Jang guen suk donated 120 million won.

Actor Bae Yong Joon  owes a lot of his popularity from his Japanese fans, and so he has decided to give away 1,000,000,000 WON, His company commented:
After hearing that Japan had limited relief supplies and equipment, Bae Yong Joon quickly reacted and donated 1,000,000,000WON for emergency support, hoping for a speedier recovery. The money will be given through the Japan Tourism Agency, who will distribute it to organizations involved in the earthquake/tsunami relief effort. Bae Yong Joon is also very worried about the victims who are in shortage of food and basic living supplies so he has decided to provide food, blankets, and other items as well.”

On March 18th, JYP Entertainment announced that they will be donating $300,000 USD towards relief efforts in Japan through the Korean National Red Cross.
Representatives of JYP Entertainment stated, “Our employees and artists will be praying for the safety of the citizens of Japan. 2PM, 2AM, and our other artists will be bringing together their hearts in order to donate $300,000 USD through the Korean National Red Cross.”
They continued, “Our employees and artists will be supporting the people of Japan so that they do not lose hope and find the strength to overcome and recover.”

In summary, the three biggest companies of the industry, SM Entertainment (1 million USD), YG Entertainment ($500,000 USD), and JYP Entertainment, have donated a total of $1.8 million USD together in the past few days to aid Japan’s recovery.
