Five More Songs Banned

On August 5th there has been a few more songs banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family because it was 'harmful media to the youth'
The music video for TVXQ’s “Before U Go“, Kim Hyun Joong’s “Please“,Homme’s “Still Eating Well“, and DJ DOC’s “Tonight” were added to the list of the new bans. As with previous bans, the reasoning lies in the mentioning of alcohol and other ‘hazardous content’, as well as the use of violence.

Kim Hyun Joong’s “Please” was banned for two lines that said, “Because I’m drunk” and “Between the spread of the cigarette smoke.”
The music video for “Before U Go” was banned for fear of promoting violence and gambling. Representatives of SM Entertainment replied, “We have submitted material to refute their decision.”
Albums containing banned songs are not available for sale to minors under the age of 19 and cannot be played on raido or TV before 10 PM.

Previously the MV for CHI CHI's 'Longer' and Sunny Hill's 'Pray' were banned.
'Prayer' was banned from KBS and MBC because of 'abusive nature'.
The MV was released a few days ago and while many have seen it on the internet, the MV won't be showed on TV.  Loen Entertainment replied, “Both broadcast networks criticized the scene where the man sticks a needle in the mutant’s head to draw blood.”
Other scenes were brought up for questioning, such as the scene where Misung and Janghyun chase the mutant to shoot him down with a tranquilizer, and another scene where his death is predicted with a jar containing his ear. The scenes were said to have raised issues of abuse.

“We’re currently discussing whether or not we will be re-submitting the movie for another evaluation. The movie is of a sorrowful nature, which fits the song’s atmosphere. We hope that people will look at the story as a whole as opposed to picking apart the scenes.”

Kim Yuri's death no suicide

I previously wrote that Supermodel Kim Yuri committed suicide. Now there are police reports stating that it was possible that Kim Yuri did not commit suicide, but that it was a natural cause.

Yesterday, everyone was shocked by the suicide of supermodel, Kim Yuri, and now reports made after her autopsy are stating it is possible that she did not commit suicide.

Today, Gangnam Police Station revealed the results of Kim Yuri's autopsy. A spokesperson stated,
"There are no signs of trauma or drugs in her internal organs."
They also commented that Kim Yuri had underweight: she only weighted 47 kilograms at the time of her death, but was 177cm tall.
On April 20th, the Kangnam Police reported,
“There were no signs of damage or wounds internally and externally, nor were there signs of poisoning. The media reports of her death being a suicide are completely false.”

 Kim Yuri's stomach contents were still in her body at the time of the autopsy and signs of digested food and liquid were still there and it didn't show signs that she ate extremely small portions or suffered from anorexia.
Yuri's parents both passed away. Her only living relative was her uncle, who said that she had an upbeat and bright personality

The police discovered sedatives and cold medicines in her room, when they searched in her house.
To determine the exact cause of her death, investigators handling the case have requested her medical records and discovered that she had been prescribed sedatives and antidepressants in the past.. It looks like Kim Yuri's death was not homocide or suicide but probably a natural cause.

Further drug tests will be run to determine the cause of her death.

Wheesung Attacked

Wheesung was recently attacked by an unknown assailant during a live performance, shocking the public just days after taeyeons-kidnap  

Today, on April 19th,  a representative from Wheesung’s agency made a statement,
“At the time, a man went up to the stage and attacked Wheesung. He considered it as just a minor incident and responded to it calmly and completed his performance.”

The representative continued angrily,
“Thankfully, Wheesung was not injured but we did not receive any words of apology from the broadcasting company in charge of the performance. It was not an informal event; it was a rather big performance hosted by a broadcasting company and we wonder why the security was so loose. All singers, not just Wheesung, are participating in minor events around the nation but their security is compromised due to this lackadaisical environment.”

While Wheesung was performing “With Me” on April 8th, an assailant walked onto the stage and suddenly kicked the singer. Wheesung was able to ignore his attacker, and calmly finished his performance.
After taeyeons kidnap, Wheesung's attack caused an increase demand for tighter security.

I seriously can't believe who buys a ticket for a concert, and then attacks the idol :s

I think taeyeons kidnapping incident was different, because it was done by a fan.

Supermodel Kim Yuri Commits Suicide

Supermodel Kim Yuri has committed suicide today, 19 April, at the age of twenty-two. Her funeral and wake are currently at the planning stage.

"No matter how I think of it... even if I think it 100 times over... I'm the only person in this world",

were the last words of Kim Yuri that were written on her mini-homepage.
Kim Yuri was born in 1989 and attended Hanshin University before debuting as model. She modelled for various high fashion events such as the "Seoul Collection" and "Daegu Collection".

Today the 22-years-old model was reported to have committed suicide by swallowing poison. Although she was rushed to Seoul Medical Centre right after it had been discovered that she'd taken poison, doctors couldn't save her.

Her funeral and wake are still at the planning stages.

She was soo beautiful

I never heard of her, but when I read this I was seriously crying.

May she rest in peace.

Taeyeon will not press charges against her kidnapper

Girls' Generation's Leader, Kim Taeyeon, will press no charges to the unknown man who tried to grab her away during her performance on "Angel Price Music Festival".

According to the staff, the unknown man appeared to be an university student from Masan. The staff reported that
"It wasn't a kidnapping incident. The situation was taken care of. Taeyeon along with the other SNSD members however managed to finish their 3 songs. SM Entertainment have not turned the male fan over to the police. If the male fan is taken to the police he would have fallen under 'Work Interference' and 'Violent Act' laws."
Coupang has released a statement regarding this incident and gave a sincere apology and a refund to all the people who are attending.

"First of all, we would like to apologize for worrying SNSD, SNSD's loving fans and Coupang customers.
The music festival was a launching event for "Angel Price", and by Angel Price's request, Coupang handled the ticket sales for the event. Unfortunately, [we] were inadequate in dealing with the ticket sales and distributions. There was an unfortunate incident during SNSD's performance. Due to the [aforementioned] reasons, Coupang will take full responsibility.
Those who purchased tickets through Coupang will receive a full refund. We will work hard to ensure that such incidents do not occur ever again. We would like to apologize for the incident at the Angel Price Music Festival and promise to work harder.
Thank you.”

A lot of fans were extremely upset about this incident but they appreciated the apology. SM Entertainment decided that they will not take any legal action. In addition to that, many people are taking the same path Taeyeon did, which is to just forgive and forget about this incident.

Taeyeon's Kidnap

Today on April 17th, SNSD met with an unfortunate accident involving a male audience member who trespassed onto their stage at the “Angel Price Music Festival” at the Lotte World ice rink.

Towards the end of their performance of “Run Devil Run“, a male audience member intruded onto their stage from the back and attempted to pull Taeyeon away by grabbing her wrist.
The other SNSD members were caught offguard, but Sunny reacted quickest and tried to stop him but could not do so. The show’s host, comedian Oh Jung Tae managed to stop the man, and security staff intervened thereafter by apprehending the man and preventing any further accidents from occurring.
Audience members reportedly looked on with shock, and were further impressed with Taeyeon’s professional attitude in returning and performing until the end.

A representative of SM Entertainment stated after the incident,
“During the latter part of the event, there was an unexpected accident. Taeyeon, however, handled the matter bravely, and security staff prevented the situation from becoming more severe. At first, the audience and concert representatives all thought that a staff member was going on stage. After the concert, SNSD returned back to their dorms and are currently resting. We’re glad that the incident did not escalate into something more severe.”

With footage (starts at 3:37) and pictures of the incident spreading on the internet, netizens have been posting messages of protest against representatives of the concert.

Aya Ueto cooks for earthquake victims

Today, actress Ueto Aya visited the city of Ishinomaki in the Miyagi prefecture and participated in making food for the earthquake victims.

At first the actress only went to the city to provide the people with footwear, underwear and other relief supplies, but then she met Watari Tetsuya, actor and president of Ishihara Promotion, and Tachi Hiroshi, also a board member of the said agency, who were making some fried soba and rice for the victims for the second day in a row, she decided to help them out a bit. After the Kobe earthquake, this agency, which only focuses on actors and singers, made food for the victims as well. Watari also played Ueto’s father in the drama “Kekkon“.

While Ueto was making the food, a three-year-old girl at the end of the queue started to call out her name and was eagerly anticipating getting closer to her. When it was finally time, she did not only find out the girl’s name – Shuri-chan, but also that she lost her three years older sister during the earthquake. Her mother explained that Shuri-chan’s sister was on her way home from kindergarten when the earthquake struck and caused the bus to flip over, going up in flames and taking her life. Shuri-chan is still missing her older sister a lot and wants her to come back.

When Ueto heard this story, she started to tear up and gave Shuri-chan a big hug and said, “Cheer up, okay!” The hug immediately replenished her energy and she was ready to make even more food.

Shuri wasn’t the only one delighted to see the actress bringing relief supplies and sweating behind the iron plate to make food for them. Men and women of all ages called out her name and waved their hands with a smile on their faces. She continuously tried to encourage them, “Everyone is supporting you! Don’t give up!”

After a total of four hours and 1,500 servings, Ueto eventually had to leave and commented, “It was a honor to help out Ishihara Promotion. Even if it wasn’t a lot, I think we were able to give them back some energy.”

Watari was really grateful for her surprise help, “I saw a lot of people smiling today, and it’s all thanks to Aya-chan.”

'Hate in the Winter, love in the Spring'

Actors from Japan, South Korea, and China have teamed up for a drama airing this spring. The exact date has not been announced publicly. Several top actors from Japan, South Korea and China including Yamashita "Yamapi" Tomohisa, Oguri Shun("Hana Kimi", "Tokyo DOGS"), Jang Geun Seuk and Lee Hong Ki, Donnie Yen and many more are going to be playing major roles in the drama tentatively titled, "Hate in the Winter, Love in the Spring."

I'm sure many of you who are reading this are overjoyed at so many wonderful actors playing in the same drama, but that's not the only thing! None of these actors are going to be paid! Every cent made will be given to the areas of Japan affected by the recent disasters.

The Drama Will be airing at 7 pm in each country on Fuji TV(Japan), MBC (South Korea), and Dragon TV (China) as well as affiliate networks.

Becky and Koki helping victims

On 27 march, this sunday Becky ( TV personality and singer) went to Yoyigi Park where she collected money for disaster relief efforts and supplies for all the pets that are injured or homeless after the earthquake

Becky asked the people of Tokyo to make donations as she stood in front of a board that read “It’s OK, Japan is strong” and “Let’s put a smile on the face of Tohoku”. Becky, an animal lover herself and certified carer, has two dogs, a turtle and a snake.
On Monday Becky said that she had collected ¥ 2,379,042 (29,094 USD; €20663) in donations, a hundred boxes of pet food, and about 70 animal cages. “I want to thank everyone for their kind donations,” she said, “I’m moved by how warm-hearted people are.”
When disaster strikes, pets are often the forgotten victims. They are left to fend for themselves if their owners has evacuated or died.
Cash donations will go to relief efforts of the Japanese Red Cross and donated items will be given to the Japanese Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Tanaka Koki visits victims of the earthquake

March 27th, he went to the Tagajo Culture Centre in Miyagi, which is currently a shelter for disaster victims.
According to a girls twitter account he signed autographs and took photos even though normally he is not allowed to do so by his agency.
He tried to make people happy, which impressed quite everyone at the shelter. "He's a really good guy!" was their response.

Kamen Rider survives!

To answer the questions from all the confuse people first:
Yes, this a Kamen Rider statue.
And Yes, It still stands after being hit by a 10 meter tsunami.

Ishinomaki in Miyagi, the hometown to Kamen Rider and a city hit by the tsunami, has a statue that shows the power of Kamen Rider. Even his statue still stands when everything around it is broken and in pieces.

JYJ Has already donated 600 million won to the victims of the Japan earthquake.

But they don't plan to stop helping yet.

They want to make all their fans more aware of the situation in Japan via the upcoming world wide tour.

And continual support through collaboration with Japan-based World Vision in a campaign called, "Take Heart, Japan" where fans are able to donate.

Kim Hyun Joong  (BOF, Playful kiss) has recently donated 100 million won to the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan.
Kim Hyun Joong said, “My heart hurts so much to hear about this.  I hope that everyone can stay strong.”  He also said, “Many people are joining hands in this crisis.  Everyone, please come together with one heart.”

Also Lee Byung Hun donated 7 hundred billion won through Red Cross. 
Jang guen suk donated 120 million won.

Actor Bae Yong Joon  owes a lot of his popularity from his Japanese fans, and so he has decided to give away 1,000,000,000 WON, His company commented:
After hearing that Japan had limited relief supplies and equipment, Bae Yong Joon quickly reacted and donated 1,000,000,000WON for emergency support, hoping for a speedier recovery. The money will be given through the Japan Tourism Agency, who will distribute it to organizations involved in the earthquake/tsunami relief effort. Bae Yong Joon is also very worried about the victims who are in shortage of food and basic living supplies so he has decided to provide food, blankets, and other items as well.”

On March 18th, JYP Entertainment announced that they will be donating $300,000 USD towards relief efforts in Japan through the Korean National Red Cross.
Representatives of JYP Entertainment stated, “Our employees and artists will be praying for the safety of the citizens of Japan. 2PM, 2AM, and our other artists will be bringing together their hearts in order to donate $300,000 USD through the Korean National Red Cross.”
They continued, “Our employees and artists will be supporting the people of Japan so that they do not lose hope and find the strength to overcome and recover.”

In summary, the three biggest companies of the industry, SM Entertainment (1 million USD), YG Entertainment ($500,000 USD), and JYP Entertainment, have donated a total of $1.8 million USD together in the past few days to aid Japan’s recovery.

postponed releases and concert cancelations

Postponed releases
As all of you know, the earthquake and tsunami has resulted in many postponed release dates. On CDJapan, a great site for shopping from overseas, they have put up a long, long list of all the CD's, DVD's and goods that will have to be shipped later.
Here's a list.

Right now it seems like most releases in March will be released in April instead, due to companies having delivery problems.

Concerts
Upcoming concerts and stage shows of Johnny's artists were cancelled for this month. Instead they'll send trucks and generator vehicles to the disaster area.
After a meeting yesterday, Johnny's Jimusho decided to cancel all concerts/stage shows of their artists for this month. Affected are the concerts of:

- TOKIO
- Tackey & Tsubasa
- Hey!Say!JUMP,
- Yamashita Tomohisa
- Domoto Koichi ("Endless SHOCK")

Furthermore they're planning to send some of their transport trucks and generator vehicles, otherwise used for the concerts, to the disaster area.

Houses of some Johnny's artists an AKB48 theater damaged.

As for now it seems that quite all Johnny's artists are safe. However the houses of some have sustained more or less serious damage.

It was reported that the houses of Ueda Tatsuya (KAT-TUN), Go Morita (V6) and Yamashita Tomohisa (NewS) are said to be damaged.
It seems Yamapi he had a car accident, but his sister confirmed that he's safe, "just" his dog is currently at the hospital.
About Ueda Tatsuya was also said that he had a collapse, but he's fine now.
However in the worst case now is probably Hey!Say!JUMP's Hikaru Yaotome, whose house in Sendai was totally finished by the tsunami.
It was now also clarified on Johnny's official website that Aiba Masaki's house hasn't caught fire.

All those poor people :(
But I mean so many people have died, they really should be happy.

It was announced on AKB48’s official blog that the AKB Theater will be momentarily closing due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami. AKB48, SKE48, and NMB48 events have been canceled for the next few days. Including overseas activities.

Today we closed the theater due to the Pacific Ocean earthquake that hit the Touhoku region. At the moment, we are unable to safely repair and inspect the theater.
As you, the fans, all know, the there is equipment like hanging spotlights, moving lights, and trapdoors in the AKB48 theater. How many days will it take to assess the operation and security of these devices? When will we be able to call in contractors to check the building? We are uncertain. Until we are able to offer fans a safe environment to watch the shows, we will temporarily close the theater. Since aftershocks are still occurring, we have no way of telling when the theater will be running, but we will announce details as soon as we know.
Moreover, to everyone worried about the member’s safety: we have managed to contact all AKB48 and SDN48 members. Lastly, we wish the safety of everyone that lives in areas greatly affected by this earthquake[…]. During these times, let us group together and support each other!
