Awesome Make up Brand: KIKO

By Suzanne

Heey!
Last week I went to Rome!! I will upload photos from my trip in a few days, but first I want to tell you about an awesome Italian make up brand: Kiko. I already owned a few Kiko products, but when I saw the shop in Italy I went crazy and bought four more things (:
Continue reading to see the products, and I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do!

Let's start with the most expensive product.
I bought this highlighter for 7,50 - which is still cheap, from my opinion.
It's called Frozen Light All Over #03 and it is sooo pretty! With just one stroke, it gives my cheeckbones a beautiful glow.

The next product is this Highly Pigmented Eyeshadow #162. It's a shimmery blue colour, which tends to be grey in some kinds of light. I don't know the price, because it was a gift from my friend.

This Mixing Solution is similar to Mixing Medium from Mac, although this one is 3,90 - which is at least 6 times cheaper :) It can be used to mix two (loose) eyeshadows together, and it also makes the colours so much more pigmented! On the picture on the right I added a drop to the blue eyeshadow. If you compare the picture to the swatch above, you can see the pigment increasing.

The nailpolishes (called Nail Laquer) from Kiko are great! They are very cheap (3,90), opaque, and last for a long time. I was too lazy to make a swatch, I'm sorry!

Last but certainly not least is this Vibrant Eye Pencil #606.
I doubted for a long time if I should buy this baby because it's a bit expensive for an eye pencil (5,20), but at the end I couldn't resist :)

In brief: please come to Holland, Kiko, I love you!

5 favorite nail polishes

Hi everyone,
Today I'd like to share with you... my 5 favorite nail polishes!
Mind that:
- I put the polishes in a random order
- The Kiko polish is from Milan and the Barry M one from London, I bought the other three in Holland.
- I'm sorry if the polish on my thumb nail is messy, after a few times of applying and removing different colours I got bored...

Hope you liked it (:

Carmen Curlers Review

Hi!

Yesterday, when I cleaned my room (which was very very necessary :p) I realised I had this curling set from Carmen laying around! As you can see, this thing is not very modern (understatement..!)
I got it from an old woman, she never used it so I could have it. But I haven't tried it untill now.. So I thought, why not make a review for this blog..?

This is me after I took a shower, I didn't completely dried my hair because then the curlers will have a much better effect.

Then I put the curlers in my hair, skills required! Which I don't have. So this part took me 40 minutes...
Yes I know I look like a granny!

When I removed the curlers about an our and a half later, my hair looked like this:

And my floor looked like this :)

Anyhow, these curlers give you quite natural looking curles/waves, I like the final hairdo!
But as I said, it takes a lot of effort to put them into your hair... I prefer my curling iron :)

Review: Maybelline NY Lipstick

Hi there!
Before I post the next tutorial (that will be next weekend, I guess) I just wanted to try something new: a review! Although I hate most tv commercials, I love watching commercials and ads for make up products. I saw this one a few weeks ago, and I was dying to try it: SuperStay 24h Lipcolor from Maybelline New York (€13,99 at Kruidvat)

This lipstick promises to stay on for the whole day - "whatever you do" - because of the two steps-system: first apply a thin layer of colour (lipgloss applicator-like side of the lipstick) and allow to dry, then apply conditioning balm (the other side).
Let's see!

7 PM: I apply the colour Red Passion around, this is what it looks like:

8 PM: The lipstick is still flawless. My lips are very dry, though, because the balm stained. Time to repeat step 2!
My plan is to test the different things that are done in the commercial on top of this post. First the strech challenge, with good results! The lipstick indeed doesn't crack when being streched.

10 AM: For the sake of this review, I slept with the lipstick on. Urgh, now I remember why I always remove my make up before going to bed! My lips feel very, very dry and the lipstick.. well, take a look yourself!

12 AM: After reapplying the lipstick as well as the conditioning balm, it's time for the tape test! I stick a piece of adhesive tape on my lips and pull it off... there is absolutely no lipstick on the tape, and no change in the colour of my lips.

13 AM: The lipstick survived the kissing test too! Although there is some of the conditioning balm on my boyfriends lips right now :)

In conclusion: The lipstick stays on for a very long time, and indeed helds through the tests being done in the commercial. But 24h, I don't think so!

Revieuw: Dream High

Story
Dream High follows the life of six students who go to Kirin Arts High School. Three of them were lucky enough to pass the audtitions immediately. However because there were still three places left Goo Hye Mi, Song Sam Dong and Jin Gook could also join. This drama is about trying to do everything you can for the sake of your friends, love or dreams.

Music
I am really amazed by these voices. I love the main soundtrack 'Dream High', they added it in many version.
They covered amazing songs from amazing artists and made it even more amazing.
They covered San E's  'Some Of This Dream' Sun Ye's 'Maybe', 2AM's Can't Let You Go Even If I Die and Mandy Moore's 'Only Hope' for example.
I especially love their Genie (Girls' Generation) and Sunset Glow (BIGBANG)
Also the choreography is amazing.

Characters
I just know you can't avoid bitchy characters when watching K-drama's, however it's nice to see how they act nicer towards the end. I'm really in love with the other characters. At first I didn't really like Sam Dong because he was just so average, with his appearance but I have to say, he has a nice voice. Jason and Pilsook are the best when it comes to cuteness :p I think I'm not the only one who watches all their scenes a hundred times.

Humor
I laughed very much during this drama, there are not particularly many jokes in it, but watching those people have so much fun makes me soo happy too.

Cast
The people they casted are amazing dancer and singers, however they were not very popular before this drama started. I'm happy to hear they got more attention since Dream High, they deserve it.
And Wooyoung and IU (Milky Couple) are totally cute, even off-screen.
This drama also has the presence of the almighty JYP and a cameo for Kim Hyun Joong.

Set and Clothing
The costumes for all the performances were so beautiful <3
I liked how they fitted perfectly with the choreography, the music and other dancers.
I really like the schoolbuilding too, it is so nice, warm and open.

Addicting?
HELL YES!
I watched it when there aired already 8 episodes, and I finished those in three days.
It really tortured me while I was waiting for the next episode to air.
Also, I can watch this drama a thousand times without getting bored.

Related Content
In 2012 there will be a season 2, most likely a spinn-off.
I'm happy to hear one of my favourite K-drama's gets a second season!!
However, it will be much better with milky couple, cuz they are just the best!!
Also be sure you watch the special episode/concert!!

Rate'
A 10 of course!
Everything about this drama is just amazing, music, storyline, characters etc.
Do I have to say more?
WATCH IT!!

The guy in the background is choo kakkoi~
She is like the most beautiful person on this earth~!!!
I love this scene~

Couldn't help spamming them <3

Miwa 'Guitarissimo' revieuw

1. Arienai!! (ありえない!!)
This song is pretty upbeat, It makes me happy everytime I listen to it.
Good song!!

2 Don’t Cry Anymore
This song just gives me goosebumps
Sooo touching, I just saw a live-performance and Miwa looked really cute there :)
You can hear how beautiful her voice is.
It actually can make me cry.

3. friend ~Kimi ga Waraeba~ (friend~君が笑えば~)
This song isn't very powerfull,
Miwa's slow songs are mostly not like this.
However, once you get used to it, it's a nice song to listen to.

4. Haru ni Nattara (春になったら)
This is definitely my favourite song Miwa ever made.
Been looking forward to spring ever since then.
This song made me conscious of her beautiful voice and that's she is not just some amateur singer.
Give her all the love she deserves!!

5. hys-
This is definitely the most upbeat song from the whole album.
I love upbeat songs, the more upbeat the more I like it.
So, I like this song very much.
It's only a pity my laptop can't really catch up with the tempo :(
and I don't have a computer that's really old.
But it's kinda annoying.
6. OTOSHIMONO (オトシモノ)
I love this song, it's touching and slow but with a 'Miwa feeling' to it.
I love the lyrics.
When I heard it for the first time in Juui doolittle, I searched immediately for a download link.
I was fan for quite a while, so became pretty excited when I heard she would sing a soundtrack for this amazing drama. I prefer the live version of this song though.

7. Dear days
I haven't heard a full version yet, but it what I heard was very good.
I think this is one of the best songs of her album

8. Samenai Yume (醒めない夢)
As most of the songs, this one is also very upbeat.
I like this song and the lyrics are also nice.
This song is very catchy, I think it will stay in my head for awhile.

9. chAngE
This was the first song I heard.
The PV is very cool, I like the combination Jpop/Jrock how Miwa does it.
You just enjoy the song whether you like rock or not, at that time I wasn't very much into rock so that was nice :).

10. Megurokawa ~strings version~ (めぐろ川<strings version>)
Sorry to say this Miwa (plus all the other fans beside me)
but this gave me quite a headache.

11. HATSUNATSU (ハツナツ)

12. Little Girl (リトルガール)
I think this is a very cute song.
It's so happy!!!!!
The english words sound nice in this song.
One of those songs that can easily get stuck in your head.

13. Bokura no Mirai (僕らの未来)
I just love miwa's singing in combination with the guitar!
Well, there are more songs were they use a guitar as instrument (epic!)
But here it matches really well.
It was hard for me to decide whether this was a slow or upbeat song,
there are some elements in it that gives you the idea of a ballad.
Bit as the song continues, I was sure it is upbeat :)

14. Tsuyoku Naritai (つよくなりたい)
The Intro is a bit too long, I think.
The lyrics are easy to understand.
The song is not very bad, but it's not very good either.'

Revieuw: Hana Kimi

Summary

Ashiya Mizuki is a girl who has a crush on the high-jumper Sano Izumi. She wants to know Sano better and decides to move to Japan and enters the same High-school. However, that isn't as easy as it seems. Sano is going to an all-boys-school, so that means Mizuki can't enter unless she dresses up as a boy, cuts her hair and completely changes to a boy.

But, then she discovers that he has given up on high-jumping because of a accident. Was all her effort for nothing, or will she persuade Sano? And will she be able hide that she is actually a girl?

Story

At the moment I read a summary, I wanted to watch it. Maki Horikita Is perfectly fit for Ashiya Mizuki,
the main reason for this is because she looks cute both as a boy and a girl. Although the first episodes were all about getting Sano to jump again, there were some sudden twists in the middle of the serie.

Also, there was more romance later on.
The makers of this serie did an amazing job to portray the serieus scenes as serieus.
A drama also needs serieus moments like these, or else you would think it's all just a joke.
At some moments I was really excited and just couldn't wait to see how it would turn out.
But at other moments I just couldn't stop laughing (which made my sister who lives next door, very annoyed)

Music

The drama has two theme songs, one is mostly used as ending or just before the ending. The song is called 'Peach' by Ai Otsuka. It's a very happy song, I like it because it fits well with the drama. But be sure when you watch the last episode, you watch through the ending, You don't wanna miss the last scene!!!

The second is 'Ikenai Taiyo' by Orange Range. It's used as the opening theme. I love the song very much, I had it on my MP3 right before my computer crashed :)

Other insert songs are: My Love by Kawashima Ai, Boom boom boom by Go Hiromi, Paradise Ginga by Hikaru Genji, Tomaranai Ha~Ha by Yazawa Eikichi, Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne

Humour

As I said before, the jokes in this drama are just soo funny. I don't know if everyone likes this kind of humour though. Most of the characters are really stereotype, but that makes it really funny.

Characters

With all these handsome boys, the most of you must have trouble finding a favourite character.
However, all the characters are outstanding in their own way.The only character I didn't like was Kagurazaka Makoto, but now Í am addicted to Yu Shirota's music. (There will be a post about him soon)

My favourite character was definitely Kayashima Taiki. He was the one who could see ghosts.I absolutely loved his smile and character also.Nakatsu was also pretty good, he was soo funny. The actors are very good, and most of them play in other popular series.I have very much that I think: where do I know him from? But then I realise he played in Hana Kimi.

The Girls from ST. Blossoms could be a little annoying sometimes, but I sort of understand them, I mean they are all very handsome. And I have to admit, but they made me laugh very much sometimes.

This is definitely a drama I recommend!
I am currently reading the manga, and it's just as good.
Even though I prefer the 'real life' versions of the characters (read: the actors)

Supergood Superbad - Yamashita Tomohisa

I really love Yamashita Tomohisa, his singing, dancing and acting are the best.
You could say he's my Idol.
I was really glad when I heard he would get a solo-album.
At first I was dissapointed cause, you probably know already, I live in Europe and they don't sell J-pop CD's here. But I was able to download the songs. But now I'm just irritated because there's a little fly flying around me and my laptop :( however check my revieuw:

Supergood
Daite Senorita
I'm addicted to this song since I first heard it in 'Kurosagi'.
It was the second song I heard from Yamapi and made me realise how awesome he was.
I fell in love with the chorus <3<3
I especially like the Bridge
'Naite, Naite Senorita'
<3<3

 Hadakanbo
I think they changed something for the album version, it sounds much more jazz now.
I like pop more than jazz so I have to say that they screwed up a little bit.
However it's nice to hear him with a different genre, but the song sounds very flat to me.
It's definitely missing something now.

Yamapi commented:
“Who needs lies, go as your true self.
The lyrics are about baring your heart and letting out what is truly you”

Tsuki To Taiyou No Rhapsody
I like this song because it's upbeat and the lyrics are nice.
One of the better songs from this album, not the best though.

Crazy You
This song is also very upbeat, and the lyrics are cute.
There are a few English words used, but not that much.
Yamapí speaks English very well (for a japanese person) but there is a reason that I listen to J-pop
so I like these lyrics more than 'Party don't stop'

Santa Maria
I don't know why, but I don't really like this song.
It got better after listening it a few times but still...
Nice song for summerholiday though

Dekiai Robot
I liked the song from the beginning.
The chorus is very often stuck in my head XD.
One of my favourites <3

Tsumi To Batsu
Am I the only one who thinks the beginning looks like 'Daite Senorita'?
Everytime I hear the beginning I can't help thinking that.
The rest of the song is different though.
The niveau of awesomness is lower than other songs, but it's nice to listen to.

Yamapi said:
“This is a really up-tempo dance number, everything about if from the arrangement.  The ‘Yamapi’ calls are fun too.  It’s got a taste of the 1980′s.  I think its old feel is cool too!”

Kuchiduke de Adios
Just another great and upbeat song.

Seishun Amigo

Saiko no Love Song
First slow song!!
I can't understand the lyrics yet, but it sounds very touching.
This is really Saiko no Love song!!!'
Always sad when it ends :(
jk then I just play it again (and again and again)
But Love song was also pretty good

Ao

Superbad

Tokyo Sinfonietta
A very nice song, I liked the beat because it was more outstanding than some of the songs.

Party Don't Stop
As I mentioned before, I don't really like it when asian artists sing in English.
But with this song and with Yamapi, it doesn't bother me so much.
With this song I can party all night long :D

One In A Million
First song I heard from him!!
I was immediately impressed and thought things like:
WOW who is thiis guy????!!!!
He's soooo handsome in the PV
I can remember the entire lyrics.
Fave song ever!!

Yours Baby
I think he sung this a bit weird, but maybe that's the charm??
One Girl
Another one of my favourites
Very upbeat and romantic.

Loveless
I just love this song!!
Yamapi is also great with slow songs.
Normally I hate slow song, well dislike more,
but it depends on the singer.
Yamapi is certainly not boring with his slow songs.

Gomen Ne
*ame as other slow songs*

Blood Diamond
One of my favourites!!
Not much to say about though

Sleepwalking
I like the instruments in this version very much,
it makes this song very outstanding from the rest.
The combination of the lyrics, tempo and instruments is the best!!

Touch You

TOMO

Friday Night

Mola
Don't like listening to this song.
It may be good, but the lyrics are just....

It was kinda hard for me to find most of the songs online.
Actually, I didn't even find all the song.
This album is definitely a recommend.
I love Yamapi's voice and in news he only gets some solo's,
I mean: the other members are great but I love his voice the most.
Yamapi has a very outstanding, yet beautiful voice.
Although some songs on this album look the same,
if you listen close you can discover it's difference and beauty.

Xx
