Starting with Guro Lolita.
Guro is short for grotesque and looks like the words Gore/Gory because all these girls have bloodspatters on their lolita dresses. The dresses can be all colours, but most girls choose white because it goes better with the blood splatters. This style's concept is to look like a broken doll and try to achieve this with a lot of bandages, a sling and the bloodsplatters.
There is no specific make-up for Guro Lolita's. But just like other Lolita styles it's very modest and not over the top. Fake blood can also be added as extra element but be carefull you don't overdo it!!
Guro Lolita is also considerd as a fashion-style even though it might seem costume-y. But be aware of the fact that Guro lolita's wouldn't be very accepted at events as tea parties and Lolita events as much as the other styles.

Tips for wannabe's
- In all the other aspects it is still the same. To be a guro lolita instead of a cosplay lolita you still have to buy all the lolita garnments: bloomers, panniers, petticoats, blouses etc.
- You can easily turn a common lolita dress into an Guro dress. If you have fake blood you can splatter some blood on the dress or your favourite accesories. When doing this be sure to wear an apron!!! And don't overdo it, you want to look like a broken doll not like someone who swum in a pool of blood.
- Because it's lolita it still has to be elegant no matter how many bloodsplatters the dress has. Just like the tip above, just a little bit is enough to make you Guro.
Here are examples!!
