On March 23rd, Jaejoong visited the Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, where he prayed for the good health of Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand.
The visit was made by chance, as Jaejoong had noticed a yellow bracelet that his fans were wearing during his stay in Thailand. It was only then that he learned that the king was lying in a sickbed, and that the yellow bracelets symbolized national unity, and more recently, the recovery of the king’s health.
After learning of his visit, reporters was asked Jaejoong for further details after JYJ’s concert on April 3rd. Jaejoong explained, “I wanted to repay the love our fans had given us by paying our respects to someone they love and respect as well. Although I wasn’t able to meet him in person, I hope that he recovers his health as soon as possible.”

According to a Thai tourism representative, Jaejoong’s visit is being regarded as that of a ’state guest’. Even if one wishes to visit the king, permission must first be granted from the royal family; Jaejoong was cordially welcomed.

After learning of his predicament, the royal family went as far as to clear out one floor of an entire shopping mall so that he could shop in peace.
