Make Up Tutorial: Nishino Kana

Hi Everyone, thank you for reading my first guest post :) I have decided to make a photo tutorial on Nishino Kana's look, because she's one of my Mariska's idols. First: it is not my intention to look like Nishino Kana, just to copy her make up look - that is the difference between a look a like and a make up tutorial. I know my skin is way darker, she has a complite different bone structure but whatever! I tried my best to explain her dolly-like make up look in simple steps for you guys, hope you like it!

The products I'm going to use:

1. Prep your skin by using a primer on your face and eyes (Etos: Make-up Under Base)
    2. Apply your regular foundation (Rimmel London: Lasting Finish in 303 True Nude)
    3. With a large powder brush, apply a light foundation (MAX: Foundation in Nude)
    4. Next, apply concealer on dark circles and spots (Collection 2000: Lasting Perfection in Medium Beige)
    5. A key thing for this dolly look is the blusher on the apples of the cheeks (MNY: my Blush in 101)
    6. With light brush strokes, apply highlighter on the bridge of the nose, cheekbone, forehead and chin (Essence: Sun Club All Over Shimmer in 02 Miami Heat)
    7. Apply a light shade of pink all over your eyelid, then use a medium dark shade of brown in the crease and blend it upwards (120 Pro Palette)

8. Highlight your brow bone, you can apply the same highlighter you used before

9. With a creamy-white eyeliner pencil, highlight your lower waterline and the inner corners of your eyes (Essence: Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in 02 Disco Fever )

10. Apply a black eyeliner, make sure the line is very thin in the inner corner, make the line thicker while extending it outwards (Catrice: Gel Eye Liner in 010 Black Jack With Jack Black)
    11. Apply black eye pencil on the outer half of the lower lid (not on your waterline, as this will make your eyes appear smaller), and soften it by smudging with a sponge applicator - or a Q tip, if you wish (Essence: Kajal Pencil in 01 Black)
    12. Curl your lashes; place your lashes in the eyelash curlers and squeeze as hard as you can for 5 to 10 seconds (HEMA lash curler)

13. Apply plenty of mascara on both top and bottom lashes, make sure to remove clumps after this (you can comb your lashes through with an old clean mascara wand (Clinique: High Impact Mascara in 01 Black)

14. Apply lip balm (Vaseline: Petroleum Jelly) and a small amount of concealer on your lips. I know, I should rather use a nude lipstick, but that’s simply just not enough to make my lips as pale as Nishino’s...

15. Apply some pink lip gloss, focus on the centre of your lips (Clinique: Glosswear For Lips)

16. Lightly dust some HD powder on your eyes and face to set the make up (ELF: High Definition Powder)

And... you're done!

Hope you liked it, you can of course leave a request for another look :)

Oh, by the way... My friend Loïs took the photos for this tutorial, and she insisted I would mention her name, so: THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH, LOÏS! I LOVE YOU! Happy now?

See you next time!
xoxo
Suzanne
